I am fighting off a cold so I canceled my travel plans to Rothenburg ob der Tauber this weekend. Normally I would have just sucked it up, but my throat hurts and I am more tired and cranky than usual. This means I will probably bail on the group trip to Bremen to go somewhere the weekend of July 30 and I will probably also try to go somewhere the weekend of August 6, come back on Monday, and move out of the room. We shall see. Or I could travel for four days after meeting up with the family. I am really not sure what I will be doing.
In other news, I have my Fiktionsbescheinigung but only until August 31, even though I was told mid-September. This should be enough time. If it’s not, well. . . this better work. I like the family and I don’t want to come back to a state with a 15% unemployment rate and look for a job. I did handle the office alone yesterday so I’m proud my German got me through that.
Now to cram homework/quiz terms into the next hour. Tonight will be more of the same since I opted to take the exam tomorrow instead of Friday in order to travel. But now I am sick, and would have appreciated not thinking this was a good idea. I suppose I can talk to Uta after class and see if she can make an exception since I am sick. idk
