This food with potatoes and quark is quite tasty but it is no dessert but a full meal. A fresh egg, some flour and raisins must be added to the dough, and you need lots of cooked mashed apples to eat with these Kartoffelkeulchen! Cinnamon must be added to the sugar on top.

I swear I’m not a blog stalker. Your experiences remind me of mine when I first moved to Lüneburg. Cheap beer can be found at the Hausbar not far from Stint. Map. It is a bar run by students. Around the corner from there is a place called the Salzkontor. They have hands down the best cocktails and caipirinhas in the city. It is run by a completely bat-shit-insane brazilian woman named Maria and her husband.

If you are into cheap tasty vegetarian food, check out out Pons on the Stint Markt. It’s across the river from the old crane. And of course there is the Irish pub.

The Thai Restaurant on Stint is awesome, but a bit pricey.
